The Cercle Gutenberg was founded by Professor Guy Ourisson to strengthen ties among Alsatian members of the Institut de France, the Collège de France, major French and international academies, and the Institut Universitaire de France, while fostering scientific research in Alsace. Each year, the Guy Ourisson Awards recognize researchers under the age of 40 conducting particularly promising research in Alsace. The awards are open to all scientific disciplines.
Congratulations to Olivier Cunrath, a young researcher in our laboratory BSC | UMR 7242, who is among the recipients of the 2025 Guy Ourisson Award! Olivier conducts research on microbial communities within the team Metals and Microorganisms: Biology, Chemistry and Applications.
The award was presented during a ceremony held on April 16, 2026, in the presence of members of the Cercle Gutenberg and its sponsors.
